Our Youth Scheme, known as "Dyfed-Powys Youth Defenders" is a very new system in Dyfed-Powys and is one of its' kind across the United Kingdom. By having the youth join the groups, we encourage positive behaviour and promote positive behaviour by recognising them and their efforts to create a better community for them and their future.
We aim to:
- Promote Independence,
- Promote how to report a crime,
- Promote how to support your neighbours,
- Promote Crime Prevention & what to do in a crime,
- Get youngsters involved in their community by supporting Scheme Coordinators,
- Recognise youngsters and their efforts in the community by volunteering,
- Let youngsters get an insight into how the Police work, how to support their communities and where to report issues that are identified by them.
It is important that if you wish to volunteer and be a member and you are under 18, that we receive parents permission that they are happy for you to volunteer/be included in the group for Neighbourhood Watch in Dyfed-Powys. Your parent/guardian can also sign up to our app so they can see what is on-going across Dyfed-Powys.
